How To Get The Right Video Conference Camera
There are probably hundreds of different types of video conference cameras out there to choose from, and with some cameras costing as much as $1200 a piece there is something for everyone. However, purchasing an expensive video conference camera is not always a good idea since quite frankly online you can probably do without it. Before you head out and purchase the most expensive camera you can afford you should first determine what type of meetings the camera will usually be used for.
High Definition Cameras
This is the most expensive video conference camera you can purchase. The video quality from a high definition camera is so perfect that it is second only to being physically present there. However, with a price tag which runs into thousands of dollars you should only opt for this camera if the meeting contains lots of graphical representations such as graphs and photos. You should also only opt for this camera if the conference room has a large flat panel screen which does justice to its high resolution and vivid colors.
Mid range video conference cameras
These are probably the most common and affordable cameras on the market. With decent video quality and added functions such as tilt, rotate and zoom they are perfect for small to medium sized conference rooms. However because the video quality from these cameras are not perfect you will notice some artifacts when you either zoom too much our zoom out beyond what it can handle. Many of these cameras also have microphones built into them which makes hearing everything going on in the possible.
Cheap cameras
The cheapest cameras you can use are webcams. Webcams just cost a few dollars are work best only for situations where there is a one on one meeting. With limited resolution and no zoom function do not expect to be using these cameras in a large room.
