Video conferencing is probably one of the cheapest ways for business partners, employees and investors from around the world to gather and discuss strategies. Today it is no longer imperative for employers to fly executives and partners half way around the globe for an important business meeting. However, even though video conferencing did start out as being quite expensive, today as technology has become cheaper and almost everyone in the corporate world has access to a computer and a broad band internet connection video conferencing for multiple people has just been a natural transition.

Companies that use video conference

Around ten years ago video conferencing was something which required an elaborate setup of computers and video cameras on both sides. With high quality video cameras, servers and broadband connections costing thousands of dollars this was something that large and global companies considered as being cost effective compared to flying over fifty or sixty employees for a meeting. However, as broad band connections have become cheaper and the requirement for a video camera is simply a webcam, video conferencing is used today by everybody from the budding freelancer to a company that relies on many foreign workers located in various parts of the world.

In order to start a video conference with multiple people today all you need to do is to sign up for a video conferencing service. A video conference service has everything you need to make your conference a success i.e. servers, software etc. All you need is a video camera and a computer to get started. Once you schedule a conference everyone who is required to attend is sent an alert with the time and date of the meeting. Some services also send over reminders so that people remember to log in to the meeting on time. Costing just a few dollars a month, this system has the potential to save business both large and small thousands of dollars on important meeting expenses.
